The Castle Corona
By Sharon Creech
320 pages
Sharon Creech is one of my favorite authors. At the begining of this one this was seemed quite unusual... however I chose to persevere and the book quickly grew on me. Each one of her books is so different and unique but that is what gives her books great charm. They are not predictable and the same like so many authors.

This was a super book! It's a story about a middle aged single man with 4 grown children. 3 years after the loss of his dear wife he recieves a new calling. The Lord has called him to be Bishop of a new ward in a new stake. However a single man can not hold this calling... so now he has to find a wife! This was so much fun to read and I really enjoyed it!

The Candy Shop War
The Candy Shop War
By Brandon Mull

This is the same guy who wrote the awesome "Fablehaven" series.
We read this one outloud as a family and loved it. It's a story about
4 kids that find a connection to magical candy. This candy is way
cool and does some amazing things. Fun story for the kid in all of us!
